Wellbeing is central to boarding life at Bunbury Cathedral Grammar School. For many students, our boarding environment offers an experience that simply feels closer to home - calmer, more connected and deeply supportive of their everyday needs.
Feeling safe, supported and able to be yourself matters - especially when you’re living away from home.
Maxine Williams, our Aboriginal Culture and Language Coordinator, supports students to stay grounded and confident in their identity, while keeping strong connections to family, community and Country. She also works with School and boarding staff to help create an environment where Indigenous students feel supported and culturally safe.
Our international students are supported by International Enrolment Co-ordinator Cathy Elliott, who helps new students navigate new routines, cultures and expectations, and works closely with boarding and school staff to make sure international students feel secure in their new surroundings, understood and cared for.

Boarding staff provide consistent, day-to-day care, ensuring students feel safe, supported and known. All boarding staff are first aid trained, with key staff also trained in youth mental health and surf rescue, supporting wellbeing and safe participation in regular beach activities.
